Berry sweet Wishes

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es ist endlich wieder Erdbeerzeit - naja, zumindest so langsam. Aber inzwischen schmecken die Früchte süß und erdbeerig. Was gibt es da schöneres als ein paar gezuckerte Erdbeeren mit Sahne. Und genau die haben mich zur heutigen Karten inspiriert.

It's finally strawberry time again, well, at least it's starting. By now the berries are sweet and full in flavor. There's nothing better than a few lightly sugared strawberries with cream. And that's what inspired me to make today's card.

 

Angefangen hat alles mit dem großen Becher Erdbeeren - da wollte ich dann auch einen weiß-roten Hintergrund. Aber gestreiftes Papier wäre zu viel gewesen. Da fiel mir der Quilted Backdrop von LawnFawn ein, der so schön wie eine alte Tischdecke aussieht. Den habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit einem Stück roten Cardstocks hinterlegt, den ich mit einer der A6 Wave Stanzen von Stampcorner ausgestanzt habe.

 

It all started with the cup of strawberries - and I wanted a red and white background for it. But striped paper would have been too much. Then I remembered the Quilted Backdrop by LawnFawn that reminds me of  grandma's tablecoth. I die cut it from white cardstock and put a piece of red cardstock behind it that I die cut with one of the A6 Wave dies by Stampcorner.

Für den Becher voller Erdbeeren habe ich die Erdbeeren aus dem How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On Stempelset zweimal übereinander maskiert abgestempelt und dabei das Jellyfish-Stempelkissen von LawnFawn verwendet, das super zum No-Line Coloring geeignet ist. Dann habe ich die Erdbeeren mit Copics coloriert. 

Da dieser Becher aus dem Cool Cup Stanzenset von MFT die größte Stanze in die Richtung war, die ich habe, habe ich damit die Erdbeeren ausgestanzt. Außerdem habe ich die Elemente des Bechers noch aus Folie gestanzt. Die Sahne habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Set Ice Cream Cone aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. 

Als Deko habe ich in die Sahne den Löffel aus dem Stitched Mug Frame aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und eine einzelne Erdbeere gestempelt und dann alles zusammengeklebt.

For the cup full of strawberries I stamped the strawberries from the How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On set twice by doing some masking. I used the LawnFawn's Jellyfish ink, that's great for no-line coloring. Then I colored the strawberries with Copics.

Since this cup from the Cool Cups die set by MFT was the largest cup die I had I used that to cut the strawberries out. I also die cut all elements of the cup from acetate. The cream I cut from white cardstock using a die from the Ice Cream Cone die by MFT, then shaded it with Copics.

I also die cut the spoon from the Stitched Mug Frame set from silver mirror cardstock and stamped a single strawberry, then put everything together.

Natürlich mussten dann auch Erdbeeren samt Blüten und Blättern als Deko für die Karte her. Ich habe die Elemente mit Stanzen aus den Sets Strawberry Patch, Build-a-Drink Cocktail Add-On und Stitched Strawberry Frame aus farbigem - bzw. im Fall der Blüten weißem - Cardstock und habe sie dann mit Copics schattiert. Die Highlights sind alle mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

Of course I had to use strawberries with blossoms and leaves as decoration for this car also. I die cut the elements using the Strawberry Patch die set, the Build-a-Drink Cocktail Add-On set and the Stitched Strawberry Frame and cut them from colored cardstock (of course I used white for the blossoms). Then I shaded them with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.

Und weil ich schon im Erdbeer-Modus war, habe ich auch meinen Text im Erdbeer-Look gestaltet. Mit dem Henry's ABCs Set habe ich die Buchstaben für das Wort Berry aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile mit Copics schattiert. Dann habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift kleine Striche aufgemalt und auf jeden Buchstaben das Erdbeergrün aus dem Build-a-Drink Cocktail Add-On Set aufgesetzt. Nun sehen die Buchstaben fast aus wie Erdbeeren.

Der kleinere Text darunter ist aus dem Stempelset Milk and Cookies. Ich habe ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

And since I was already in full strawberry mode I also created my text in a strawberry look. I die cut the letters for the word berry from red cardstock using the Henry's ABC set and shaded them with Copics. Then I drew little dots with a white gel pen and put a strawberry top from the Build-a-Drink Cocktail Add-On set on top of each letter. Now they nearly look like strawberries, too.

The smaller text underneach is from the Mild and Cookies stamp set. I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

 

 Anschließend habe ich alle Elemente zusammengestzt. Hinter den gestanzten Buchstaben, dem embossten Text, dem Erdbeerbecher und auch den großen Erdbeeren im Vordergruund befindet sich 3D Tape. Mit dem habe ich dann auch noch den weißen Cardstock auf den gewellten Aufleger geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

Then I put everything together. I put foam tape behind the die cut letters, the embossed text, the cup and the large strawberries and used it also to adhere the white cardstock to the wavy red cardstock. Then I glued the panel to a white note card.

Wir sind zu alt....

Am Freitag gab es das April-Release von Create a Smile und da meine Bestellung gewohnt schnell bereits am Samstag bei mir ankam, habe ich gleich eine Karte dazu gemacht.

Friday the april release by Create a Smile happened and since my order - as usual - has already arrived on saturday I sat down over the weekend to make a card with part of it.

Nun, einige Tage vor dem Release gibt es immer ein Video, in dem alle neuen Produkte samt Beispielen damit gezeigt werden. Als Christine das Wegweiser-Stanzenset und das dazu passende Stempelset Ziele zeigte, meinte sie, man könne Worte aus-x-en und auf das Brett darunter das nächste Ziel stempeln. Ihr O-Ton war "aber xt vielleicht nicht das Wort Party aus, das wäre traurig". Ha, und das habe ich als Challenge gesehen! Eine traurige Karte wollte ich natürlich nicht. Aber dann fiel mir ein, wie man ab einem gewissen Alter nach einer durchfeierten Nacht am nächsten Tag garantiert einmal den Satz "wir sind zu alt für sowas" sagt. Und da war die Idee zu meiner Karte, denn auch da gibt es einen passenden Stempeln von Create a Smile.

Ich habe für den Hintergrund am unteren Ende eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks erst Distress Oxide Antique Linen aufgewischt und dann von unten her etwas Scorched Timber hinzugefügt. Ein wenig davon habe ich dann mit Wasser vermischt und mit einem Pinsel aufgespritzt.

Den Cardstock darüber habe ich mit Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistacchio und Lucky Clover gewischt und ein paar Wassertropfen aufgespritzt. 

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann mit Pine Needles und Rustic Wilderness und dem Ferns Stencil einige Blätter aufgewischt.

Oben entlang des Cardstocks und über die aufgewischten Blätter habe ich noch einige ausgestanzte Blätter geklebt. Die sind aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen grünen Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. Später habe ich dann beschlossen, auch noch zwei Lianen herabhängen zu lassen. Die sind mit der Tropical Vines Border von LawnFawn gemacht, die Monsterablätter sind von Magnolia und die gefiederten Blätter von MFT.

Well, a few days before the release Christine always does a video showing all the new products and lots of samples made with them. When she showed the Wegweiser die set and the matching stamp set to stamp milestones in life onto the signs she explained, that she added an X to be able to cross out a milestone. And then she said "maybe don't cross out the word party, that would be too sad". Bam - that totally put me into challenge mood. Of course I didn't want to make a sad card but then I remembered, how - at a certain age - you say at least once "I'm too old for this" after partying through the night. And that's when the idea for this card was born.

For the background I inked the bottom of a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Antique Linen, then added a bit of Scorched Timber along the edge. I mixed some of the Scorched Timber with a bit of water and splattered it onto the cardstock.

The rest of the cardstock I inked with Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistacchio and Lucky Clover and flicked some water onto it.

After the drops had dried I used the Ferns stencil and Distress Oxide Pine Neeldes and Rustic Wilderness to ink some leaves onto the top.

Along the top edge of the  of the background, and on top of the stenciled leaves, I put a fie die cut leaves. I cut them from two different tones of green cardstock and shaded them with Copics. And later I decided to also add two vines. Those are from the Tropical Vines Border set by LawnFawn, the monstera leaves are by Magnolia and the feathered leaves by MFT.

Hauptelement ist natürlich das große Schild mit den aufgestempelten Texten. Und das seht Ihr hier in voller Größe.

Ob es die beste Idee war, die Texte in braun auf die braunen Schilder zu stempeln und dann auch noch ein braunes X über Party zu legen, sei im Nachhinein mal offengelassen...

Ich habe die Schildteile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann - genauso wie die Motive - mit Copics coloriert. 

Of course the large sign is the main element with the stamped on texts. And you can see it here fully.

Well, in hindsight I am not sure if it was the best to stamp the texts with brown ink onto brown signs and then even put a brown X over the word party....

I die cut all the sign pieces from white cardstock and then colored them with Copics, just like I did the images.

Auf die oberen beiden Schilder habe ich das ge-xte Party sowie Entspannung aufgestempelt. Auf dem Schild sitzt ein Chamäleon, das ich hier passend zum Hintergrund in Grün- und Türkistönen coloriert habe.

Onto the two signs at the top I put the crossed out word party and "relax". I placed a chameleon onto the top sign, colored matching the greens and aqua in the background.

Auf den unteren Schildern habe ich dann einmal "wir sind zu alt für diesen Scheiss" aus dem Set Scheiß Drauf sowie ein "komm, wir machens uns gemütlich" aus dem Set Lieblingskeks gestempelt. Zum Abstempeln habe ich Versafine Clair Pinecone verwendet.

Damit das Chamäleon nicht so alleine ist, habe ich unten auf den Boden noch einen der Kakadus aus dem Set Ta-Daa! aufgeklebt.

Das Grasbüschel am unteren Ende des Schilds kommt übrigens auch im Wegweiser-Stanzenset. Ich habe es einmal aus hellerem Cardstock ans Ende des Schilds geklebt. Dann habe ich es noch zweimal aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und als Deko im Hintergrund benutzt. Dahinter befinden sich noch ein paar Dschungelpflanzen, gemacht mit der Slimline Tropical Leaves Border von LawnFawn. Auch diese Teile habe ich alle ein wenig schattiert.

Onto the bottom two signs I stamped "we're to old for this shit" and "let's get cozy", both by Create a Smile as well. I used Versafine Clair Pinecone to stamp the texts.

To give the chameleon a little friend I stamped one of the kakadus from the Ta-Daa set and glued it onto the ground next to the sign. 

The grass at the bottom of the sign also comes in the Wegweiser die set. I die cut it once from lighter green cardstock and glued it at the bottom of the sign. Then I cut it again two times from dark green cardstock and used those as decoration in the background. Behind them there are a few jungle plants, made with the Slimline Tropical Leaves Boder die by LawnFawn. Again I shaded all pieces with Copics.

Zuerst habe ich nur die Pflanzen auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dabei dickes 3D Tape hinter die Blätter am oberen Rand gesetzt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Zum Schluss habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape das Schild sowie die Tiere aufgeklebt und alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

First I only adhered the plants onto the background, putting some thick foam tape behind the leaves along the top edge of the cardstock. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint over everything. As the last steps I adhered the sign and animals with thin foam tape and put everything onto a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine farbenfrohe Karte in Regenbogenlook, die absolut von einem Video von AmyR inspiriert ist.

Today I am sharing this colorful card in a rainbow look with you. And this one is totally inspired by a video by AmyR.

Die Karte wirkt super aufwändig, dabei war sie so einfach und schnell gemacht. Man braucht dazu nur 3 Distress Ink Farben! Als ich das in Amy's Video gesehen habe, musste ich es unbedingt selbst probieren. Und es klappt tatsächlich.

Ich habe hier den Framed Anemones Stempel von HoneyBeeStamps verwendet und ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. Das Motiv hat bereits zwei Rahmen integriert - den äußeren habe ich abgeschnitten und das Motiv dann auf die deutsche Kartengröße angepasst. Dadurch ist der weiße Rand oben und unten höher als an den Seiten. Aber mich stört das hier nicht.

This card looks so involved, but it's so easy and quick to make. You only need three colors of Distress Ink! When I saw that in Amy's video I just had to try it myself. And it really works!

I used the Framed Anemones stamp by HoneyBeeStamps here and white heat embossed it onto watercolor cardstock. The image already has two frames - I cut off the outer one and then cut the image down to make it fit a german standard card. Now the white frame at the top and bottom is wider than it is on the sides but it doesn't bother me here.

Ich habe den äußeren Rahmen mit Masking Tape abgedeckt und dann den Rest des Motivs mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Mermaid Lagoon und Picked Raspberry gewischt. Dort wo sich die Farben mischen entstehen dann automatisch alle anderen Farben des Regenbogens.

Die selben Farben habe ich dann auf meiner Glass Mat abgedrückt und das Motiv damit coloriert. Hier dient dann die jeweils im Hintergrund gewischte Farbe als Anhaltspunkt zur Coloration und man kann die Farben ganz einfach mehr oder weniger exakt durch Mischen gestalten. 

Ich habe mich hier dazu entschieden, auch den Hintergrund im inneren Rahmen farbig zu gestalten. So wirkt der Effekt gleich noch mehr.

I masked off the outer frame and inked the rest of the image with Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Mermaid Lagoon and Picked Raspberry. Where the colors overlap all the other colors of the rainbow get created automatically.

I put some of the same colors onto my glass mat and used the ink to color the image. The color of the inked background is some kind of guide for the coloring and it's easy to mix the colors needed on the glass mat.

I decided to ink also the area inside the smaller frame. The effect comes out even better this way.

 

 Hier könnt Ihr einen Teil des Motives genauer sehen. Und es kommt gar nicht darauf an, die Farben perfekt zu verblenden.... Die Blütenblätter meines Motivs sind recht groß, so dass jedes mehrere Farben hat. Amy hatte eine Sonnenblume mit vielen kleinen Blütenblättern verwendet, so dass jedes eine andere Farbe hatte. So ein Motiv in der Größe, die ich wollte, habe ich aber nicht. Und da es ja erstmal nur ein Text sein sollte, tat es auch dieses Motiv. Aber ich werde die Technik definitiv nochmal machen!

Und auf die jeweiligen Farbbereiche habe ich dann gleich noch etwas Distress Ink aufgespritzt und später komplett über das komplette Motiv, bzw. möglichs nur auf die Blumenteile, weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Here you can see part of the image closer. It's not important to blend the colors perfectly.... The petals of the flowers of this image are quite large so each petal has at least two colors. Amy had used a sun flower with lots of small petals and nearly every one had a different color. I didn't have such an image in the size I wanted. And since it was just a test I've decided, this was fine. But I will definately do this technique again.

I used the same Distress Inks - pur and mixed - and splattered some onto the same colors of the image. Later I splattered some white acrylic paint on top, trying to only put it onto the flowers.

Einen Text brauchte meine Karte natürlich auch, ich wollte aber nicht zu viel des Motivs verdecken. Also habe ich die Little Hello with Shadow Stanze von MFT genommen und das Wort, wie bei der Eclipse Technik, direkt aus dem Motiv gestanzt. Dann habe ich die Schattenlage aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Darauf kam dann, hinterlegt mit vier weißen Lagen, das aus dem Motiv gestanzte Wort. 

Als Untertext habe ich ein Wishing you a very happy Day mit Stempeln aus dem Offset Sayings Birthday von LawnFawn zusammengesetzt und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Of course my card needed a text but I didn't want to cover up too much of the image. So I used the Little Hello with Shadow die by MFT and cut the word directly from the background, like you do for the eclipse technique. The shadow layer I die cut from black cardstdock and glued the word cut from the image, backed with four layers cut from white cardstock, onto it. Then I put it back onto its place in the image.

For my subtext I've chosen a "wishing you a very happy day". I used stamps from the Offset Sayings Birthday set by LawnFawn and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

Den Textstreifen habe ich mit 3D Tape unter das ausgestanzte und wieder eingeklebte Word geklebt. Dann habe ich einige schwarze Steine als Deko aufgeklebt, den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

I used foam tape to attach the text strip under the cut out and put back in word. Then I added some black rhinestones, matted the cardstock black and adhered it to a white card base.

Rainy Days

Erinnert Ihr Euch an die Einhorn-Regenbogen-Karte von vor paar Tagen? Ich hatte ja geschrieben, dass ich das Stempelset Deliver Spring Happiness von MamaElephant eigentlich wegen einer anderen Idee hervorgeholt hatte und mir das Einhorn dazwischen kam. Nun, die andere Idee habe ich natürlich auch umgesetzt. Und heute zeige ich Euch die Karte, die danach entstanden ist.

Do you remember the unicorn-rainbow-card I posted a few days ago? I had written that I had brought out the Deliver Spring Happiness stamp set by MamaElephant with an idea in mind and then the unicorn changed my mind. Well, of course I also turned this other idea into a card - and I am sharing it with you today.

Es ist eine Dankes-/Freundschaftskarte geworden. Wobei das Danke eigentlich als letztes auf die Karte gehüpft war, da sie doch etwas leer aussah. Meine ursprüngliche Idee waren die grauen Regenschirme mit dem bunten Motiv zwischendrin.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Speckled Egg, Weathered Wood und Faded Jeans gewischt habe. 

Später habe ich dann die Regentropfen mit dem Rain Drops Background von WhimsyStamps und Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg hinzugefügt - und zwar nicht nur auf dem Hintergrund, sondern auch über die Motive. Schließlich stehen die auch im Regen...

I made a thank you/friendship card. The thanks actually was the last element I added because the card looked a bit plain. My original idea was the row of grey umbrellas with the colorful image inbetween them.

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock that I inked with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Speckled Egg, Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans.

Later I added the raindrops using the Rain Drops Background by WhimsyStamps and Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg. I stamped those not only onto the background but also over the images because they are out there in the rain as well.

Quer entlang der unteren Kante befinden sich die Motive. Sie sind alle aus den Stempelsets Deliver Spring Happiness und Rainy Days. Außerdem sitzt in dem bunten Regenschirm noch eine Katze aus dem Little Cat Agenda Set.

Und weil die alle ja nicht einfach schweben können, habe ich noch einen Gehsteig hinzugefügt. Der ist mit einer der Stanzen aus dem City Blocks Set von MFT aus grauem Cardstock gemacht. Von unten her habe ich ihn etwas mit Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt und die Bordsteinkante mit einem dunkelgrauen Marker nachgemalt.

Along the bottom edge all across the card I placed my images. They are from the Deliver Spring Happiness and Rainy Days sets by MamaElephant. In the colorful umbrella there's sitting also a cat from the Little Cat Agenda set.

And since all these images can't simply float in the air I added a sidewalk. I cut it from grey cardstock using a die from the City Blocks set by MFT. I inked the bottom with some Distress Ink Black Soot and used a dark grey marker to color the curb.

Unter die grauen Regenschirme habe ich je ein schwarzes, unter die bunten Motive ein helltürkises Oval als Pfützen geklebt. 

Hier sieht man auch die leicht bläulichen Regentropfen, gerade hierfür finde ich das Embossing Glaze super. Mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich kleine Wasserspritzer auf den Gehsteig und Glanzpunkte auf die Regentropfen gemalt.

Under the grey umbrellas I put a black, under the colorful images an aqua colored oval as some kind of puddle.

Here you can also see the slightly blue raindrops. I love the Embossing Glazes for effects like this. I used a white gel pen to draw little splashes onto the sidewalk and also tiny highlights onto the raindrops.

Die Suche nach dem richtigen Text war fast am schwierigsten. Eigentlich wollte ich eher etwas mit "im Regen tanzen" und/oder "Blumen".  Da konnte ich aber bei bestem Willen nichts finden. Also habe ich mich für "you make even rainy days happy" aus dem Sprinkling You With Love Set von MFT entschieden. Den Text habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Und darunter kam dann ein großes Thanks. Ich habe es mit der Circled Greetings Thanks Stanze von Altenew fünfmal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und den Kreis drumherum jeweils weggeschnitten. Vier der Stanzteile habe ich aufeinander geklebt. Den fünften  habe ich in Regenbogenverlauf coloriert und leicht versetzt obenauf geklebt. Dann habe ich beides unter dem gestempelten Text angebracht.

Finding the right text for this card was nearly the hardest thing here. I had something like "dance in the rain" and/or "flowers" in mind. But I simply couldn't find anything. So I went with a "you make even rainy days happy" from the Sprinkling You With Love stamp set by MFT. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock.

Under it I played a large thank you. I die cut it five times from white cardstock using the Circled Greetings Thanks die by Altenew and cut off the circle around the words. I stacked four of the die cuts. The fifth I colored in rainbow colors and put it onto the stacked ones a bit offset. Then I glued them under the stamped text.

Gehsteig und Motive sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt, das Wort Thanks hat durch die gestackten Stanzteile ja schon etwas Dimension.

Als Deko habe ich drei weiße Herzen neben das Wort thanks geklebt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I adhered the sidewalk and the images with foam tape, the word thanks has some dimension due to the stacked die cuts.

I added three white hearts next to the word thanks as decoration. Then I matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.

Technique Throwback Thursday April 2024

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte zur Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge. Im April geht es darin um eine Karte, die eine tolle Tiefe hat und dabei komplett flach zusammengelegt werden kann. Ich habe beschlossen, eine Babykarte zu machen.

Today I am sharing with you my card for this month's Technique Throwback Thursday challenge. In april it's about a card that has an amazing depth but can be folded flat completly. I decided to make a baby card.

Wie auch Jennifer in ihrem Video habe ich eine oben gefaltete Karte gemacht, so kann man sie toll aufstellen. 

Just like Jennifer in her video I made a top folding card to be able to put on display.

Den "Mechanismus" habe ich aus dunkel-lila farbenem Cardstock gemacht. In den Hintergrund habe ich den aus dem selben Cardstock gestanzten Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop von LawnFawn gesetzt, den ich mit silber-blauem Glitter-Cardstock hinterlegt habe. Dann habe ich grau-violette Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Der Aufleger besteht aus einem Stück grau-blauen Cardstock, in den ich in die Mitte ein Wolkenfenster gestanzt habe. Das habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Cloudy Sky Set von HeroArts gemacht und Partial DieCutting angewendet um ein Fenster zu gestalten, ohne über den Rand hinaus zu stanzen.

Obenauf kamen dann kleine hellblau-graue Wolken, die ich mit Stanzen aller möglicher Hersteller gemacht habe. Außerdem habe ich Sterne aus dem selben Glitter-Cardstock, mit dem ich den Hintergrund hinterlegt habe, gestanzt und zwischen den Wolken verteilt.

Den hellen Cardstock habe ich am Rand mit etwas Distress Oxide Faded Jeans und Stormy Sky gewischt und außerdem mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

The "mechanism" I cut from dark purple cardstock. I die cut the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop from LawnFawn from the same cardstock and put some silver-blue metallic cardstock behind it. Then I added splatters of grey-violett metallic watercolor.

The top layer is made from a piece of grey-blue cardstock, that I cut a cloud window from the center. I die cut that with a die from the Cloudy Sky set by HeroArts, doing partial die cutting to create a window without cutting over the edges of the cardstock. On top I put some small light blue-grey clouds, that I made using dies by all kind of brands. I also die cut stars from the same glitter cardstock that I backed the background with and put them between the clouds.

The edges of the light cardstock I inked lightly with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky and also drew a frame with a white gel pen.

Als Motiv habe ich mich für eines der Nordic Bunnies von PoppyStamps entschieden und die Teile aus Cardstock in weiß und verschiedenen Lilatönen gestanzt. Da die Deko eine komplette Stanze ist, hatte ich jeweils mehrere und habe daher diese Teile jeweils aufgedoppelt. Und einen der hell-lila Kreise, die eigentlich das Schwänzchen darstellen, habe ich als Backe mit aufs Gesicht geklebt. Die gestanzte Linie für das Auge habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt und eine Nase mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen hinzugefügt.

An eines der Ohren des Hasen habe ich eine Schleife aus weißem Twine gebunden. Außerdem habe ich auf den dunklen Teil des "Kragens" kleine weiße Perlen aufgeklebt. Auch auf das Schwänzchen kam eine große weiße Perle.

Den Text habe ich mit Versafine Clair Fantasia auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt - der kleinere Untertext ist aus dem Itty Bitty Baby Stempelset von MFT. Das Hello Baby ist mit dem Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring Set von LawnFawn gemacht. Da es in dem Set kein Hello gibt, habe ich das aus Teilen anderer Stempel zusammengesetzt.

As the image I went with one of the Nordic Bunnies by PoppyStamps and die cut the pieces from cardstock in white and different shades of purple. Sind the decorations are one complete die I had several of each color and so I doubled those pieces up. And one of the light purple circles that usually create the bunny's tail I glued as a cheek onto the face. I re-drew the eye line that gets cut into the cardstock with a black fineliner and added a nose with a black Glaze Pen. 

To one of the bunny's ears I tied a bow from white twone. I also put tiny white pearls onto the dark part of the "collar" and a large one onto the tail.

The text I stamped with Versafine Clair Fantasia onto white carstock - the smaller subtext is from the Itty Bitty Baby set by MFT. The Hello Baby I made with the Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring set by LawnFawn. Since there is no hello in this set I used parts of others texts from the sets to create it.

Und hier könnt Ihr die Tiefe der Karte besser sehen. Der Cardstock mit dem Fenster poppt beim Entnehmen aus dem Umschlag auf und auch der Hase mit dem Hello Baby stehen auf, allerdings sind sie so hinterlegt, dass sie höher aufstehen als der Rahmen. Das sorgt nochmal für eine extra Lage. Den kleineren Text habe ich am Rahmen angeklebt.

Die kleineren Wolken habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, drumherum habe ich noch ein paar klare Glitzersteine verteilt.

And here you get a better look at the depth of this card. The cardstock with the window pops up when you take it out of the envelope and also the bunny and the hello baby text do that, but they are backed so they stand even higher than the frame. That creates an extra level. The smaller text I adhered to the cloud frame.

I put thin foam tape behind the smaller clouds and scattered a few clear rhinestones around them. 

Ein kleines Dankeschön

Ich liebe es ja, viele Elemente auf meine Karten zu packen. Da diese Dankekarte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, aber für eine 80jährige Dame gedacht ist, habe ich mich etwas zurückgehalten.

I love to put lots of elements onto my card. But since this thank you card, that I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today, is made for an 80 year old lady I decided to keep it a bit more on the simpler side.

Hier kam der  neue Stencil #47 zum Einsatz. Ich habe ihn aber nicht gewischt, sonder mit Hilfe einer Silikonmatte in ein Stück weißen Cardstock geprägt. So macht er den Hintergrund interessanter, ohne zu viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zu ziehen. Damit die Prägung auch schön tief wird, habe ich den Cardstock von hinten mit ein wenig Wasser besprüht.

Here I used a new stencil. I didn't ink it but used a silicone mat to dry emboss the pattern into a piece of white cardstock. This adds some interest to the background without taking too much attentation from the image. To make sure the embossing turns out crisp and a bit deeper I misted the back of the cardstock with some water.

Aus dem weißen Cardstock habe ich - noch vor dem Prägen - ein Herz ausgestanzt. Ich wollte ein eher rundes Herz und habe einfach die Piece of my Heart Stanze von MFT genommen, ich brauchte ja nur die Außenlinien. 

Da der Stencil, mit dem ich den weißen Cardstock geprägt habe, ja ein Korbflechtmuster darstellt, wollte ich das  Gewobene nochmal irgendwie aufgreifen. Also habe ich erst ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade und Wild Honey gewischt und dieses Cardstockstück dann in Streifen geschnitten. Die habe ich dann miteinander verwoben. Allerdings war mir das Ergebnis viel zu intensiv in der Farbe. Da ich bereits einige Zeit in das Element gesteckt hatte, wollte ich es gerne "retten" - und habe einfach ein feuchtes Tuch einige Mal aufgedrückt. Durch den Oxidationseffekt der Oxides wurden die Farben so abgeschwächt.

Als Motiv wollte ich gerne Blumen und habe mich für die Lilien des Blumen Mini Stempels entschieden. Lilien werden ja gerne als Friedhofsblumen angesehen, also war ich kurz skeptisch angesichts des Alters er Empfängerin. Aber dann habe ich sie in fröhlichem orange und pink coloriert, und so sehen sie definitiv nicht mehr nach Beerdigung aus. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt und Details mit einem braunen Fineliner sowie einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Einen Teil des Motives habe ich rechts unten an das Herz geklebt, eine einzelne Blume oberhalb meines Textes auf der linken Seite.

Der Text ist mit dem neuen Stempelset Liebevoll gemacht und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Nun, Ihr kennt mich inzwischen, ich habe da immer so meine eigenen Vorstellungen. Im Set ist zwar ein "ein kleines Dankeschön für Dich" Text enthalten, der passte aber von der Größe her nicht auf meine Karte. Also habe ich nur das Ende dieses Stempels verwendet und den Rest des Textes mit weiteren Stempeln aus dem Set kreiert. 

 

Before I did the dry embossing I cut a heart from the white cardstock. I wanted some kind of rounded one so I used the Piece of my Heart die by MFT since I only needed the outlines.

The stencil I used for the dry embossing has a woven pattern and I wanted to pick this up again somehow. So I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey and cut the cardstock into strips. Then I created a woven piece out of those strips. Well, the result was way too colorful for what I had in mind. But I had already put quite some time into it and wanted to "save" it. So I pressed a lightly wet paper towel several times onto it and that softened the colors due to the oxidation effect those inks create when misted with water.

For my image I wanted some flowers and decided to use the lily image from the Blumen Minis set. Lillies often are named "cemetry flowers" here and so I was a bit unsure if those are the right ones for a card for an 80 year old lady. But then I colored them in a happy orange and pink and now they definately don't look like flowers for a funeral anymore. I used Copics for my coloring and added some details with a brown fineliner and a white gel pen. I adhered part of the image to the bottom right of the heart and a single flower above the text on the left side.

The text means "a little thank you for you". I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

Rund um das herzförmige Fenster habe ich ein klein wenig hellgoldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. Dann habe ich das gewebte Element mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter den weißen Cardstock geklebt und die restlichen Elemente, teilweise ebenfalls mit 3D Tape, hinzugefügt. Als Deko habe ich einige rosegoldene Pailetten aufgeklebt und dann alles auf einem rosafarbenen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I splattered some light gold metallic watercolor onto my white cardstock - only around the heart shaped window. Then I used thin foam tape to attach the woven piece behind the window and added the other elements, again using foam tape behind a few of them. I glued down some rose gold sequins as embellishments and then adhered the cardstock to a pink note card.

Vor kurzem habe ich das Stempelset Deliver Spring Happiness von MamaElephant hervorgeholt, eigentlich wegen eines ganz anderen Motivs. Aber dann sah mich da das kleine Einhorn zwischen all den Farbtöpfen an und da war plötzlich dieses Bild in meinem Kopf. Naja, und nachdem die andere Kartenidee sowieso noch nicht ganz ausgereift war, habe ich kurzerhand diese Karte gewerkelt.

A little ago I brought out the Deliver Spring Happiness stamp set by MamaElephant, originally for a different image from the set. But then this little unicorn looked at me from between all those paint tins and all of a sudden there was this picture in my head. Well, since the other card idea wasn't fully finished in my head I changed my mind and made this card instead.

 

 Für mich gehören Regenbogenfarben und Einhörner einfach zusammen. Und so ist es kein Wunder, dass ich hier einen Regenbogen-Hintergrund gestaltet habe. Allerdings nicht vollflächig. Ich habe mit meinen ZIG-Markern einige Flecken auf ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock gemalt und die dann mit Wasser besprüht, so dass sie ineinander verlaufen. 

Nun, ich muss gestehen, dass dieser Hintergrund Versuch Nummer 3 war... Beim ersten hatte ich zuviel Farbe aufgemalt und zuviel Wasser aufgespritzt und alles verlief zu sehr ineinander. Versuch Nummer 2 war mir dann zu fleckig, weil ich erstmal mit nur ganz wenig Farbe gearbeitet und nach dem Trocknen eine weitere Schicht aufgetragen hatte. Beim Besprühen wurde aber natürlich auch die erste Farbschicht angelöst und es gab große helle Ränder. Aber wisst Ihr was, das war gar nicht so schlimm. Aus den "unschönen" Hintergründen habe ich dann einfach die Kleckse ausgestanzt. 

Auf den "richtigen" Hintergrund habe ich noch etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

To me unicorns just can't go without rainbows. So it's no wonder that I created a rainbow colored background here, but not a full panel. I scribbled some color with my ZIG markers onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and then sprayed it with water to make the colors run into each other.

Well, I have to admit that this was my third try... On the first background I had used too much color and water and everything just run into each other way more than I had planned. My second try was too splotchy. I had added just a bit of color and after it had dried I added another layer. But when spraying this with water of course it also solved the color of the first layer and there were big white edges around the color. But guess what, it wasn't the end of the world! From the "not so nice" background I simply die cut the color splotches later.

Onto the "right" background I flicked some white acrylic paint.

Das süße Einhorn habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dahinter nochmal das zusätzliche Glas voller Pinsel gelegt. Natürlich darf bei einem Einhorn auch Glitzer nicht fehlen. Also habe ich die Mähne, das Horn und den Schweif mit Stickles beglittert. Und die Farben an den Farbdosen habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Die Kleckse habe ich, wie schon erwähnt, aus den misslgückten Hintergründen gestanzt. Dabei kamen Stanzen aus dem Set Art Supplies von LawnFawn, Painter's Palette von Spellbinders sowie die große Klecksstanze, die ich leider gerade überhaupt nicht zuordnen kann, verwendet. Ich habe alle zusätzlich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die bunten Kleckse damit hinterlegt, damit sie sich besser vom Hintergrund abheben.

I colored the cute unicorn with Copics and laid the additional glass with the brushes behind the main image. Of course there has to be some glitter when there is an unicorn involved. So I put Stickles onto the mane, tail and horn. Onto the colors, that have dripped out of the paint cans, I put a layer of Glossy Accents.

As I already mentioned, did I use the backgrounds I wasn't happy with to die cut some splotches from. I used dies from the Art Supplies set by LawnFawn, Painter's Palette by Spellbinders and that large splotch die, that I really can't tell at the moment where it comes from. I also die cut all the splotches from black cardstock and layered the colored ones with them to make them stand out more from the background.

Auch die Buchstaben des Wortes Color habe ich aus den missglückten Hintergründen gestanzt. Ich habe dafür das Lemons Alpha Set von Create a Smile verwendet und die Schattenlagen wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich auch die Buchstaben habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Also the letters for the word color I die cut form the left over backgrounds. I used the Lemons Alpha die set by Create a Smile here and cut the shadow layers from black cardstock again. Then I covered the colorful letters with Glossy Accents as well.

Für den Rest des Textes habe ich das Stempelset Color von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt. Das Wort Full musste ich dabei mit zwei verschiedenen Stempeln zusammensetzen, aber ich wollte es unbedingt im Text haben. Der Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

For the rest of the text I used the Color stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps. I had to create the word Full by combining two stamps from the set but I really wanted to have it in my text. I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock.

Das Einhorn habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Farbklecks geklebt, dann habe ich alles mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Auch hinter den mittelgroßen Klecksen befindet sich dickes 3D Tape, hinter den kleinen, dem Text und den gestanzten Buchstaben dann wieder dünnes 3D Tape. 

Auf der Karte habe ich dann einige in Regenbogenfarben irisierende Perlen verteilt, den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the unicorn image with thin foam tape to the large color splotch, then attached these elements with thick foam tape to the background. Also behind the middle sizes splotches I used thick foam tape, behind the small ones, the text and the die cut letters I put some thin one again.

I added some rhinestones, that sparkle in rainbow colors, to my card panel, then matted it black and adhered everything to a white note card.
